Membership Rules and Regulations  

Please note: These rules and regulation are published here on the web for your information and convenience and are NOT to be construed as legally binding on you or WESTSIDE GYM, INC. In every case where there is a conflict between these rules and regulations and the current official rules and regulations as published by WESTSIDE GYM, INC., the current official rules and regulations override the information on this web page. Please see additional caveats on the disclaimer page.

1. No person under the age of 16 is permitted inside the WESTSIDE GYM, INC. facilities without PARENTAL OR LEGAL GUARDIAN supervision. No Pass Cards will be issued to individuals under the age of 16.
2. No person under the age of 13 is permitted in the exercise area, or to use the equipment of WESTSIDE GYM, INC. under any conditions.
3. Proper dress and deportment must be maintained at all times. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. ONLY CLEAN, NON-MARKING, SOFT-SOLED, ATHLETIC TYPE SHOES ARE ALLOWED IN THE AEROBICS ROOM OR ON THE AEROBICS EQUIPMENT. The use of, or wearing of clothing exhibiting profanity, derogatory, defaming, or degrading languange or graphics is not allowed. Proper courtesy must be shown to all patrons at all times.
4. No smoking, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or other illegal substances are allowed on the remises of WESTSIDE GYM, INC.
5. Weights must be returned to stands after use.
6. Proper use of equipment is required at all times. Improper use of equipmnet may result in immediate termination of membership privileges, without notice or refund.
7. WESTSIDE GYM, INC. is largely self-monitoring, and the use of the facility, equipment, and any activity undertaken on the premises of WESTSIDE GYM, INC. is done so at the member's reisk. It is the member's responsibility to workout smart, not attempt any activity they are not cabpable of doing, and to take responsibility of their own actions. BE SMART OR BE GONE !!!
8. Membership dues and contract payments are DUE AND PAYABLE ON THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH. There is a 5 day grace period, after which the member's Pass Card is subject to deactivation, without further notice. If the card is not reactivated, by payment of dues and the late charge of $10.00, before the end of the following month (60 days) membership is subject to termination. Reapplication will be required before membership privileges will be restored.
9. The Security Access system is designed to ensure that non-members, and other unauthorized persons, do not enter the premises. This is for the member's protection, as well as allowing extended hours for member's convenience. It is imperative that the Security Access system be utilized correctly, and consistently, for the protection of all. Any breach in these procedures will not be tolerated, and will result in immediate termination of membership privileges.
   1. The Security Access Pass Card keyed door must not be opened for any person, at any time, regardless of reason. If they do not have an ACTIVE pass card, tHey do not have the right to enter. This is for the safety and protection of all patrons, and will be STRICTLY ENFORCED.
   2. Only one person may enter the premises at a time.
   3. The door must be closed completely behind you before the next perosn can key their card.
   4. Tampering with controls or Monitor avoidance is not permitted.
   5. Unannounced card checks may be conducted by WESTSIDE GYM, INC. at any time, at the discretion of WESTSIDE GYM, INC.
10. Security Access PASS CARDS ARE THE PROPERTY OF WESTSIDE GYM, INC. and must be surrendered upon termination of membership. Your key deposit, if any, will be refunded upon surrender of your PASS CARD key in reusable condition.
11. Only members with ACTIVE pass cards may enter premises through security access. Any unauthorized entrance, or allowing any non-member to enter without keying security pass card will be grounds for immediate deactivation of pass card and termination of membership, without notice or refund.
12. Members may bring guests onto premises under the following conditions:
    1. Member assumes all responsibility for guest's conduct and safety.
    2. Each guest must key member's pass card, enter one at a time, and fully close the door behind them. We MUST know how many people are in the facility at any given time.
    3. Guest fee of $2.00 per visit must be deposited immediately in drop box, without regard to the reason for the guest's presence, whether they spot, workout, or just stand around.
    4. Guest must leave with member. No unsupervised guests are allowed at any time.
    Violation of these conditions will be grounds for immediate deactivation of pass card and termination of membership, without notice or refund.
13. Reactivation of a deactivated Pass Card may be done after an interview with a Director of WESTSIDE GYM, INC., and the payment of the reactivation fee of $10.00.
14. Replacement of a lost Pass Card may be done upon payment of a Lost Card Fee of $15.00.
15. It is the responsibility of each member to assist in monitoring the use, maintenance and upkeep of the facility and its equipment. Any malfunction of equipment, items needing repair or replacement, or any inappropriate behavior should be brought to the attention of WESTSIDE GYM, INC. management as soon as possible. DECLARATION

I, the undersigned, by affixing my signature, declare that I have read and understand the above rules and regulations governing my use of the facilities and equipment of WESTSIDE GYM, INC., and I further declare that I understand my use of the facilities and equipment of WESTSIDE GYM, INC. may be without supervision by WESTSIDE GYM, INC. management, and I further declare that I understand that the use of these facilities and equipment is entrirely at my own risk, and ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND FOREVER RELEASE WESTSIDE GYM, INC. AND ITS EMPLOYEES FROM ANY CLAIM, EXPENSE, LIABILITY, LOSS OR DAMAGE FROM USE BY ME OR MY GUESTS, OR PRESENCE OF MYSELF OR MY GUEST IN ANY FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT OF WESTSIDE GYM, INC. INCLUDING ANY CLAIM FOR PERSONAL INJURY FROM ACTS OF WESTSIDE GYM, INC., OTHER THAN GROSS, WILLFUL OR WANTON NEGLIGENCE. I further declare that I understand that any violation of the rules or regulatios of WESTSIDE GYM, INC., whether written or verbal, may result in immediate termination of membership privileges, deactivation of my Pass Card, and loss of any prepaid membership fees.
